configuracion de archivo jboss-log4j

Hola chavos.

Tengo una consulta, mi proposito es escribir un log de lado del servidor para algunas aplicaciones(proyectos web particulares)
pero no logro escribir un archivo de log decente, ya que estoy escribiendo archivos de mas de 600Mb por dia y estoy escribiendo en 3 archivos de logs distintos(esa es la idea)

log de propio server
log para un web service
log para otras aplicaciones

basicamente esta escribiendo lo mismo(pero no igual...sic ) en los tres

ruta: ...\jboss-4.2.1.GA\server\default\conf\jboss-log4j.xml

appenders, categories

Dependiendo de lo que necesites... una opción es que definas tu propio appender en esa misma config y le pongas categorías que hagan referencia a ese appender, de modo que solamente salgan logs de tus paquetes y nada más.

De acuerdo a lo he leido de la documentación

asi lo tengo implementado

despues lei que los appender heredan los atributos y se pueden "desactivar" con un

additivity="false"

pero no logro mi objetivo

¿tendras algun ejemplo conciso?
